Moodboard: September 2020

Lifestyle
Fall is here and I am personally so ready for it! This month’s vision board is filled with autumnal tones and plans for what lies ahead. I’m leaning heavily into #cottagecore and totally can’t wait for a little cottage escape to the county in a few weeks. Tulle skirts and chunky knits are definitely the vibe I have in mind. September is also the month we got married, so I’m referencing the iconic Margaux Hemingway’s nuptials. Always keeping that one filed away for a potential vow renewal in the future! Recent moodboards have been very pastel heavy, but I’m...

Friday 🤍 What are we doing for the first weeken Friday 🤍 What are we doing for the first weekend under the stay-at-home order, friends? My one trip out will be to stock up on necessities - this month I’m trying to shop from local businesses only during the lockdown. My meticulous trip itinerary creation from years past is certainly useful now that I’m planning a route for multiple curbside pickups.

Had to share one more from this fireplace vignette at @mintroomstudios because I love it so much.
How are your resolutions going? ✨ I’d been off How are your resolutions going? ✨ I’d been off to such a promising start until yesterday... despite my best intentions, I woke up late, skipped half my morning routine, and the day ended with doom scrolling on Twitter, watching endless Bravo in bed and letting work get under my skin. 🙈 Feeling so badly about it this morning, but trying to use this as a reminder of why I set these intentions in the first place.
▫️I feel better when I take care of myself by eating well, exercising and limiting social media. Healthy habits aren’t restrictive, they’re freeing.
▫️ Making a clear distinction between personal and work time ultimately helps me be more effective and present for both.
▫️ Bravo and wine in bed is totally great, so long as it’s followed by tea and reading, or dinner and a meaningful conversation the next nights.

✌🏻 Here’s to doing better today and sending the same encouragement to you all if you need it too.

Still, I’m v. grateful for the new page and all the days ahead. So far, I’m actually sticking to my resolutions: Reading more ✔️ Conscious consumption of food, news and social ✔️ Moving my body ✔️ Setting boundaries ✔️

Hope you are all holding onto yours still. Some of my friends have been sending such sweet texts this week as I think we’re all just feeling the need for a bit more warmth and love right now, so with this post I’m sending the same to all of you. Hope your weekend is beautiful and restorative. ✨
Appreciation post for THE boots. 🖤 Ever since I Appreciation post for THE boots. 🖤 Ever since I posted about them in the fall, I feel like my DM’s have just become a giant love fest surrounding these guys with so many of you who love them too. Equal parts sock and Chelsea boot, they automatically make any outfit feel cooler and they’re basically the only thing getting me through winter! I don’t think I’ve loved a cheap pair of shoes this much since my first pair of plastic princess heels as a kid.
Is everyone else in the chunky boot fan club this winter? 🙌🏻
