Sephora Sale 2020 Shopping List

November 1, 2020

If you’re anything like me, you wait all year for the holiday Sephora Sale – I think I’ve had my 2020 shopping list ready since last June! Of course, I always take this opportunity to stock up on my perennial favourites like Armani Luminous Silk, Ren Evercalm Cleanser, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair and Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum.

In past years, I’ve also used this as a time to splurge on higher ticket items like my NuFACE Trinity Microcurrent Device and the Nurse Jamie Beauty Roller. This year, my plan is to go for some of the gift sets. The key with this is to only buy ones that come with a full size product worth ~ the amount of the bundle price. Anything that is filled with minis is *typically* not worth the money (I’m looking at you, Sulwhasoo). I’m also trying a few new products that I’ve not used before but have had saved on my wish list for ages:

1. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Duo Skincare Set 2. GOOPGENES Nourishing Repair Butter 3. Christophe Robin Cleansing Hair Mask with Lemon 4. Dr. Barbara Sturm Night Serum 5. Nécessaire The Body Exfoliator 6. Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum Set 7. Patrick Ta Monochrome Moment – Velvet Blush 8. Tatcha The Rice Wash Skin-Softening Cleanser 9. Kérastase Blond Absolu Overnight Recovery Treatment for Lightened Hair 10. Sunday Riley Charcoal Smoothie Body Scrub 11. Too Faced Better Than Sex Volumizing Mascara

My moodboard for this month is heavy on interiors, self-care and ☕️, as always.

Putting on anything besides sweatpants feels like Putting on anything besides sweatpants feels like a pretty grand occasion these days. At the start of lockdown, I was very into the #DressUpFriday and #DressUpToCheerUp challenges, but they’ve since curtailed off to Friday being the day I wear my “good” sweatpants. With the end of the stay-at-home order in sight, should we make a collective effort to start weaning ourselves out of loungewear and back into clothes with zippers and buttons?
Maybe next week.
Current Skincare Superheroes 🦸‍♀️
I don’t know about you but my skincare routine has started to slide a little bit. Recently, I’m proud of myself if I can remember to put on serum and moisturizer before bed. So I’m trying to fall back in love with a longer routine by restocking my medicine cabinet with all of my favourites, as well as the special products I tend to save rather than use up:
✨ @summerfridays Overtime Mask is my current favourite mask - it’s the perfect balance of exfoliating and nourishing and smells insanely good
✨ @vintnersdaughter Active Botanical Serum at night for next level glow the following morning (yes, it’s worth the price tag)
✨ @drhauschka.ca Eye Make Remover is gentle and clean and perfect for light makeup days
✨ @caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum is my forever go-to. I go through it like water (approx. 4-5 bottles a year!) because it is that good for fading acne scars and overall glow.
✨ @ctilburymakeup Magic Cream wasn’t something I was ready to love as much as I do. There has never been a better under-makeup cream, and sometimes I wear it solo for instantly healthier looking skin. Plus, it smells like the cream my mother used as a child. Which leads me to...
✨ @elizabetharden Velva Moisture Film. This product is VINTAGE (and by vintage, I mean probably expired), but it is the cream my mother used when I was growing up and I maintain it’s the best moisturizer to ever exist. The smell takes me right back to her bathroom as a child, watching her get ready for the day. Also, can we talk about the epic packaging? We bought every bottle we could find when they stopped producing it and I still have some hoarded (do not @ me about skincare expiry dates I don’t want to know).
@omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm is my go-to on heavy makeup days and in the winter. It is so luxurious, calming and gets every last bit of makeup off.

So why not play a little dress up in it, I guess? http://liketk.it/38V81 @liketoknow.it #liketkit
