2-6 - the glorious Hotel Sacher (with a breakfast room of my dreams) has been on my bucket list since I was a child
7-9 - finally feeling Christmassy at Schönbrunn Palace
10 - Viennese architecture reminding me to always look up
11 - I’m getting absolutely roasted on TikTok for how I pronounced Knize but entering into this menswear boutique evokes the sense that time has stood still and I bought Jon a pair of socks so expensive I nearly passed out when the saleswoman passed me the receipt
12-14 - the Christmas markets were impossible to capture in stills which is all the more reason to go in person. My favourites in order were 1. Karlsplatz 2. Spittelberg 3. Rathausplatz 4. Schönbrunn Palace 5. Am Hof
15 - sometimes it’s worth cancelling dinner plans in favour of a club sandwich in bed
16 - @nopanic.coffee was very excellent
17-18 - Belvedere Palace was grand and seeing Klimpt’s The Kiss in person was grander.
19 - @figlmueller was the best schnitzel I’ve ever had but please for the love of god make reservations rather than waiting in that god-forsaken line

goodbye to the sugar boats 🚢
as we prepare to move offices next year, today I bid farewell to my beloved sugar delivery.

watching it always served as my moment of calm on particularly busy days and each time I found myself marvelling that this is still the way that sugar is transported. raw sugar delivered in barges from faraway tropical regions directly to the waterfront, taken scoop by scoop into the factory, with streams of sugar spilling out either side and into the wind. How beautifully inefficient. How gloriously old-school.

Vienna at Christmastime has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and visiting during the most festive season was everything I hoped it would be. Once again (always), I find myself endlessly grateful for a partner who, when asked, “Do you want to go to Vienna for the weekend?” simply replies, “I’ll make the reservations.”

honoured to be profiled in @fashioncanada’s December issue, featuring Canadian jewellery collectors with a maximalist approach to layering. ✨

I’ve always been a bit of a magpie, first falling in love with the jewellery worn by the fabulous women in my life. over the years, my collection has come to life, with each piece holding deep meaning to me. many were thoughtful gifts, others were purchased during significant milestones, a few are treasured heirlooms, and some serve as talismans.
