June 2020 Mood Board

July 1, 2020

This month has been a rollercoaster, with more ups and downs than I can count. On a personal note, I feel very grateful to have experienced a beautiful, quarantined birthday at home. It was filled with surprise deliveries from my loved ones and simple joys. But even though it may feel like we’re living in our own bubble, it is impossible to ignore the events surrounding us. It has been a heartbreaking month. Both in terms of the state of the pandemic, and continued police brutality on the Black community. My hope is that some of the action taken this month will make history, changing the course of things forever. And for what hasn’t yet changed, I’m hopeful that that the course-correction is imminent.

I always love June, and how it feels like January 1st – the start of a new year for me, and the chance to begin again. Gemini Szn may have come to a close, but I’m still living in that energy through this moodboard for a little while longer.

my solo trips are some of the most treasured times my solo trips are some of the most treasured times of my life. quiet mornings with coffee, open days to explore a new city with no one to answer to. time to think, to seek inspiration, to remember I already have everything I need within me. and then to come home to the people and life I love feeling renewed and rebalanced.
if you find yourself on the left bank of Paris wit if you find yourself on the left bank of Paris with une demi-heure to spare, might I suggest a little visit to @fondation_giacometti. a small, elegant museum that feels worlds away and blissfully under-visited, with beautiful interiors only surpassed by the stark poetry of his work. it’s a space of stillness amidst the rhythm of the city and I can’t wait to return.
