May 2022 Mood Board

Moodboards
In my May Moodboard my mind was on COLOUR, consciousness, art and VACATION. Our first true post-pandemic getaway is this month and I don’t think I’ve ever been more ready for something. I’m manifesting sun every day and sand between my toes, no turbulence, and a series of looks that I’ve been putting together for weeks now. Beyond that, I’m thinking about beautiful, nutritious foods, adding vibrancy back into my life and wardrobe, some inspiring creative projects and then more long-term travels. Where is your mind at this month? Are you feeling a certain vitality returning, too?

Sephora Sale April 2022: Shopping List

Beauty
It’s officially the most wonderful time of the year: the Sephora Sale! My shopping list is ready, and I’m counting down the hours. April 2022 is all about a restock of my daily favourites: Caudalie Vinoperfect, Supergoop Glowscreen, the best hair serum on the planet, Estee Lauder ANR. I’m also testing a few new things – the new Oribe strengthening line, Rosie Huntington-Whitely’s microencapsulated moisturizer, and the stress supplement by Moon Juice. In years’ past, I’ve made big-ticket purchases like my NuFace and Slip Silk Pillowcase, or else opted to take advantage of gift sets. But this year, it’s...

April 2022 Mood Board

Moodboards
Someone tell me how I’m already around to creating my April 2022 Mood Board? This year feels at once a decade long, but also the blink of an eye. This month, I’m feeling COLOURFUL, which I haven’t in so, so long. I want to eat the rainbow. I want to wear statement shoes. I want to travel somewhere sunny and wear resort wear. I’m into hand lettering and very graphic art. I miss my pre-internet brain and am doing everything I can to get back in that headspace. I’m thinking about legacy but also about the immediate now. As...

March 2022 Mood Board

Moodboards
From evenings out, to upcoming travels and words to live by, my March mood board was a bit of a mess, but that’s also my current headspace. I’m focusing on the highlights of the month ahead (dinners out on the town, hotel room service brought in) some goals and aspirations, upcoming travels and purchases, and general accomplishments. Look mom, I made it!

February 2022 Mood Board

Moodboards
My February 2022 Mood Board has a few standout themes. Creamy winter whites and inspiring spaces reflect my desire for a new place to call and make home. Carbs and cheese are, of course, what make life worth living during the winter. I am prioritizing meaningful rest during my downtime, and Jasmine Dowling’s recent post speaks to my current mindset perfectly. I feel older this month, yet I am still learning new things about myself – I want to prioritize my spending towards big-ticket items that will last a lifetime (good shoes, quality jewellery) rather than fast fashion or...

2022 Vision Board

Moodboards
My 2022 vision board was a challenging one to create. Things feel so uncertain, it’s difficult to visualize what the next week will look like, let alone the next year. There is some major change happening in my life at the very start of this year. While it’s incredibly exciting, anything new is a little daunting. And let’s not even talk about the precarious circumstances surrounding this ever-evolving (and seemingly never-ending) pandemic and resulting uncertain travel plans. I am SO grateful for 2021, the lessons it taught me and the opportunities it allowed for. I ended last year closer...

My 2022 New York Travel Guide

Travel
Rediscovering New York and creating this new itinerary feels like the first bit of normalcy I’ve had in almost two years. I have missed travelling, missed exploring new places, returning to favourite haunts, and in general, just being inspired by the sight of something new. I still firmly believe that my last itinerary very much holds up and I ended up revisiting many past favourites again this time. It was a huge relief that nothing had changed too much. Fly Flying felt just like it always has when taking Porter Air from the island airport, with just a little...

October 2021 Mood Board

Moodboards
Fall has certainly arrived in my October 2021 Moodboard. Cozy knits, shearling jackets and winter whites reign supreme. Our first trip in over a year has been booked – Bonjour New York – providing endless inspiration and reasons to research this month. Holidays and party dressing are also on the horizon. Is it possible we’ll have a reason to break out velvet dresses and statement headbands for a baguette-lined banquet table this Christmas season? And finally, work and creativity remain a challenge but putting together the pieces for a passionate life will be a priority. I just adored this...

My Darling Dad 🕊️ Brilliant, creative, gener My Darling Dad 🕊️
Brilliant, creative, generous, kind… I have been struggling to find the words to describe who you were and how much you meant to me this entire week.

He was a man who lived with grace and unwavering integrity. While he achieved great success in life, his true sense of purpose was in the good that he did and the love that he gave.

At home, he and my mother shared the type of marriage we all aspire to have - theirs was the kind of partnership that novels are written about, and I am blessed by being their forever third wheel.

If you knew what he was like as a father, devoted doesn’t even begin to cover it. We were so very alike, with a bond that often bordered on telepathic. His loss is profound, but in this past week, I have felt surrounded by the warmth of our incredible memories and the knowledge that there were no words left unsaid, no sentiment of love unexpressed. He knew exactly what he meant to me, and, gosh, do I ever know the same.

To everyone who has reached out to myself, my mother and Jon, thank you so very much. We’re overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, his clients, colleagues and beyond. To know he meant so much to so many has made an unbearable week a little bit brighter. We look forward to celebrating the incredible Ter and his life together later next week.

I love you to the moon and back, big rabbit.
I always will.
