Autumn Style: 3 Ways

Shopping
I find that, come autumn, my style tends to inhabit three distinct personas: Elevated Former Bohemian, Downtown Pastel Princess, and Tweed and Velvet Uptown Girl. I can’t help myself...

September 2021 Mood Board

Moodboards
September is made for ivory layers (covering corps and architectural triumphs, alike), simple reminders to improve moods, cozy abodes, bags full of baguettes, and the magic of Channing & Zoe’s unlikely pairing. Past monthly moodboards have truly been just pulled from my “Saved” folder but this month’s is really for manifesting, too. Particularly in the form of pondering a Parisian escape and a place to call home.

Florals for Spring?

Outfits
Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking… This dress by Zara feels oh-so Zimmermann. While I’ve been trying to do less fast-fashion these days, this purchase felt inevitable. As things are reopening,...

June 2021 Mood Board

Moodboards
My June 2021 moodboard was all about colour, inspirational messages, soft interiors, and a pervasive addiction of all things toile. It’s time to start dreaming again, and as of Saturday I’ll be fully vaccinated and ready to start re-entering life as we knew it. Or life as it will be. I’ll be channelling Sharon Tate at the beach and Elvira Hancock at the club. I’ll set my sights on Hong Kong’s colourful facades and Aperol spritzes on the beach, all while wearing SS 2022 Casablanca mini dresses and eating in-season strawberries, of course. Am I totally ready? Not at...

May 2021 Mood Board

Moodboards
My moodboard for May 2021 is all about dreams and green. This month, we remain in lockdown, watching the world open up around us. Yet hope is in the air; everywhere you look, the trees are suddenly green and there are blooms and flowers everywhere. I received my first vaccine dose today, and have a date secured for my second. Suddenly, booking a trip doesn’t feel like something to look forward to someday, but rather something to look forward to in September. So for a few more weeks, I’m embracing the best parts of lockdown: time to read magazines...

Dress Up Friday

Putting on anything besides sweatpants feels like a pretty grand occasion these days. At the start of lockdown, I was very into the #DressUpFriday and #DressUpToCheerUp challenges, but they’ve since curtailed off to...

January 2021 Mood Board

Moodboards
Leaning in to all things neutral, cozy and luxe this January. From too many cups of coffee, to zen kitchens, chunky boots and grazing dinners of cheese nuts and olives, this month’s mood board is a direct reflection of where my head is at. In these bizarre times, I love repeating this mantra: Eyes Open, Mind Open, Heart Open. Let’s not let 2020 feel like a waste of a year, as some have been saying. There is always the opportunity to learn and expand ourselves. The neutral theme is reflected in my wishlist for the month, too. I’m drawn...

my solo trips are some of the most treasured times my solo trips are some of the most treasured times of my life. quiet mornings with coffee, open days to explore a new city with no one to answer to. time to think, to seek inspiration, to remember I already have everything I need within me. and then to come home to the people and life I love feeling renewed and rebalanced.
if you find yourself on the left bank of Paris wit if you find yourself on the left bank of Paris with une demi-heure to spare, might I suggest a little visit to @fondation_giacometti. a small, elegant museum that feels worlds away and blissfully under-visited, with beautiful interiors only surpassed by the stark poetry of his work. it’s a space of stillness amidst the rhythm of the city and I can’t wait to return.
